Junior Sales Specialist

Position Summary
The Junior Sales Specialist is charged with territory growth and management to include the definition of market demographics, a thorough competitor analysis, demonstration of new business prospects and extensive existing account knowledge. Additionally, they will complete a weekly goal of scheduled sales calls to new business prospects and maintenance calls to existing accounts. Performance metrics are in place to help ensure our dedicated account executives exceed incremental specimen volume expectations.


  1. Payroll, Uniform and First Aid / Safety and Copier sales experience are the primary candidates.

  2. Light experience in selling into independent clinics also sought after.

  3. Resourceful, coachable, motivated employee mindset that wants to progress with the company into leadership roles.

  4. Well-developed sales and sales negotiation skills

  5. Strong written and verbal communication 

  6. Must have a proven track record of networking ability

  7. Strategic planning and organizational skills

  8. An outgoing and confident approach to your work

  9. The ability to understand and present relevant molecular pathology testing data to a diverse audience.

  10. The flexibility to cope with frequent changes in products, reimbursements and within the overall pathology and healthcare industry.


  1. Grow a new territory through relationships, marketing to independent clinics, long term care facilities and rural health facilities all while pioneering new markets as well.

  2. Keep up to date with the latest pathology and toxicology data and research, in order to discuss industry trends with new and existing clients.

  3. Act as a liaison between TEN Healthcare and our clients to quickly and articulately disseminating new information that will help ensure the success of their existing pathology and/or toxicology testing programs.

  4. Maintain open lines of communication with existing client base and laboratory staff to ensure on-going relationship and client commitment to TEN Healthcare.

  5. Time and territory management to accomplish a weekly goal of decision maker contacts, scheduled appointments, new business cold calls and maintenance calls to meet and exceed the incremental revenue expectations.

  6. Territory Management includes, but is not limited to, defining market demographics, competitor analysis, prospecting new business and existing account knowledge.

  7. Maintain and grow a social media presence such that key stakeholders in the industry will view you and TEN Healthcare as the industry experts in our field.  Social media will include but may not be limited to LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

  8. 2-3 night overnight travel per week.

  9. Maintain weekly communication and positive working relationship with direct manager.


  1. Valid Driver License Required.

  2. Must be an aggressive top performer who is motivated to achieve a higher level of success within company and industry.

  3. Must possess, an ability to take ownership in your territory and the ability to quickly learn and assimilate new information with the ultimate objective to drive new business.


  • Internal: 20% with Lab staff and Senior Management Team.

  • External: 80% with cold calls, appointments, maintenance, prospecting.


  • Bachelor’s Degree; Masters considered a plus.
