What happens to the specimen that I provide for TEN Healthcare?

After providing a specimen at the office of your provider it is shipped to TEN Healthcare where a series of tests are run to accurately detect viral, bacterial, or fungi pathogens to assist your physician is diagnosis of infection. Your provider has selected TEN Healthcare for testing these specimen because of the rapid turnaround, accuracy of the result, and clinical support provided by the laboratory.

Who pays for my test if I have insurance?

TEN Healthcare will bill your insurer directly for the services we perform at the laboratory. These charges are separate from any amount your physician may bill your insurer for in-office testing. To ensure our billing is accurate please provide up to date and accurate insurance information to your provider. Your insurer will send you an Explanation of Benefits, which is not a bill. An EOB is a statement which allows the patient to see how your insurer processed TEN Healthcare’s claim. Who pays for my test if I do not have insurance?

Your provider has determined that specialty testing performed by TEN Healthcare is needed to assist in detection of viral, bacterial, or fungi pathogens to diagnosis infection. These charges are separate from any amount your physician may bill you for in office testing. TEN Healthcare has a flat fee price for any patients who are truly without healthcare coverage or experiencing financial hardship. Once a statement from TEN Healthcare is received, please provide payment directly to TEN Healthcare via check or credit card. Can I see a copy of my results?

Yes, you can request a copy of TEN Healthcare’s report from your provider or call TEN Healthcare directly to request a copy.

Are my results confidential?

Yes. TEN Healthcare complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable state privacy regulations.
